Farm Mapping
Overview
TracMap mapping services provide farmers with accurate and cost
effective farm maps.
No matter what the size of the property, farm maps provide a
powerful visual tool.
Farm maps are developed by using an existing aerial image (if
available) or GPS co-ordinates captured on the site along with
input from the farmer.
Standard farm maps include a paddock plan with accurate areas and
display features such as waste areas, drains, water lanes, hazards
and more.
The process to create a farm map
• Survey farm capturing GPS coordinates
• Download GPS coordinates into your PC Mapping
programme
• Draw farm map
• Create layers of information such as
- troughs, hazards, trees, break fences
• If required develop irrigation shift patterns and
add as a layer
• Present paper and data file copies of farm map to
farmer.
