TracLink is Launched
24 May 2012

New Zealand's leading GPS Guidance and Proof of Placement provider TracMap has been released - TracLink its new Product Ordering & Task Allocation System.
"This system is going to provide huge savings in productivity for a range of users including farmers, fertiliser spreaders & spray contractors, we are very excited about its launch", says Lance Nuttall National Sales Manager for TracMap NZ Ltd
"We have gone to the industry and asked what issues they face when it comes to the business of Product Ordering and Job Allocation, which has led us to develop TracLink. The input from the industry has been fantastic and a real benefit during the development phase, respected industry leaders such as the team at NT Wealleans who have given us valuable input into the design of the system"
What does TracLink do?
"It provides a simple platform for farmers to place their fertiliser and spray orders with their contractor(s); it's quick, easy to use and provides the farmer with reassurance that the paddocks they highlight will be the ones that get treated. It allows for additional information to be sent to the contractor such as no go zones, hazards, gate locations. "this gives the driver valuable information which will make their job much easier, and safer." says Lance
If I was a contractor why would I run with TracLink? " well that is a fairly simple question to answer" says Lance "TracLink is unique in the world in that it allows for the task, in this case a fertiliser or spray order to be wirelessly sent to the driver using the latest TM465c Head Unit, this is the key point of difference from any other system that pretend to do the similar things" says Lance "The driver sees clearly on the head unit the paddocks that need treated he also sees hazards, gates, no go zones which have been added by the farmer, making his or her job much safer"

"There are plenty of benefits for the farmer also, no longer do you need to worry about leaving hand drawn maps highlighted at the gate, you control the ordering, you see clearly what and where the product will go including rates and above all you have quick and easy access to paddock history, this information can also be download into other farm management programmes such as FarmKeeper" says Lance

TracLink is not restricted to fertiliser and spray ordering, the same system has been used successfully in Viticulture for sending jobs detailing where to and just as importantly not to harvest, providing operation managers great control and visibility, so the potential is huge.
"We will continue to develop TracLink with the market to ensure we keep providing solutions that our customers need to be successful, which is what TracMap is about"
There is no additional hardware or software applications to purchase, its web based which can be easily accessed anywhere in the world. It will be able to be used on Ipad & Android platforms which makes accessibility that much easier.
